So today saw one of the attractions for IMM 2017 start to take shape. With just over 2 months to go, the pieces of the puzzle are coming together!!
We are delighted to announce that we have passed the 2,500 ticket sold mark!!! IMM 2017 is going to be hopping!! Obviously we had planned to get as many people to the event as possible, but we we conservative with our estimates. With the push for tickets up to March 17th, we would like to thank all who took the time to buy their ticket at the cheaper rate.
Tickets are still on sale at the updated price of €95 per person attending, with U-16 still free to enter. As we are now at the stage where all the merchandise and goodies for the Welcome Pack being ordered, we are unable to guarantee that those that buy at the new price will get a Welcome Pack. We will endeavor to do our best for all attending.
Wednesday evening last, saw the latest meeting of the team for IMM. Lots discussed with plenty of decisions made.
The past few months have seen quite a number of queries regarding club camping areas and send details of the number of members attending etc. We are compiling details at the moment and will be sending out an email shortly so we can get accurate information regarding the requirements for each club. Please keep an eye out for this email so that you can feed back the information to us. The more accurate this information, the more effective we will be at allocating the space required for you all.
As always, if you have any special requests, please contact us. We will endeavor to help out in any way possible.
We are hoping to polish off the final draft of the site map in the coming week and I hope to be able to bring this to the next blog post. The map will be a simplified version to give you all general feel for the IMM site.
As mentioned in previous posts, Glamping is available on the site and is managed by Westport House directly. If you are interested in this, please contact them here. The availability for this will be ending soon, so get in there while its still available.
As you would have seen on the IMM Facebook page, Aidan our events guy, and Neil Kilbane did a little bit of a scenic tour last weekend around the West of Ireland. In a fantastical feat, they managed to find some sunshine (sadly lacking the previous day for the parade) while they schemed and plotted a Treasure Hunt for the Friday morning of the IMM. If you have ever had the chance to partake in a Treasure Hunt set out by Neil, you will certainly have pulled out some hair trying to figure out his random clues. Mind you calling them clues is a stretch at times. Honestly a mighty days fun to be had, with plenty of opportunities to get to know the locals. And for the passengers, a pub or two along the way for some refreshments.
NOTE: Places on the Treasure Hunt and the Economy Runs are limited. It will be based on a first come, first served basis.
Both runs will go in opposite direction and will start from outside the IMM venue. The routes will not cross over at any point so you will be guaranteed different scenery and views on both.
Signup for the runs will happen between 9am – 11am on both mornings.
“Box your Mini”
In a little idea from our team, Joe W is going to “Box your Mini”. This will be placed at a location around the site so you can take pictures at your leisure.
Unfortunately, due to poor weather the Westport 250 celebrations at the St. Patrick’s Day Parade had to be postponed. These have been rescheduled for April 9th. We hope lots of Mini’s can make the trip and celebrate this with the IMM Team. We are looking forward to meeting with the locals and businesses of Westport and sharing our plans for an almighty weekend of craic at IMM 2017.
Listen out for us on Mid-West Radio for information about the IMM 2017 also.
